Investigate these questions and find an example for each.

Search for a maths dictionary to find clear definitions and examples.

 

Equivalent fraction patterns.

In your maths grid book use a different colour for each number pattern.

2   4  6   8  10  12   14   …….

3  6  9  12 ……..

25,  50,  75 ……..

Now you have completed your number patterns (which are your denominators), go back and add your numerators.  What do you notice?

 

1/2   2/4   3/6  4/8  5/10……….

 

3. Make your own ‘crazy’ fraction wall. Use a mixture of fractions to make your wall. NO GAPS

4. Choose a selection of dominoes to play with your table.

5. Go onto your Mathletics level and select FRACTIONS.

6. Work on your recipe using NUMBERS – screen capture each time you change the number of servings.
